A front camera takes the guesswork out of parking. Beat-Sonic front cameras display a wide-angle view of everything ahead of your bumper directly on your factory screen, so you can spot curbs, parking blocks, and low obstacles before they meet your paint. Designed and engineered in Japan, our front camera systems pair a wired camera with a plug-and-play interface built for specific Toyota and Lexus models. No wire cutting, no soldering, no permanent modifications.
Why add a front camera to your car?
Your backup camera covers what is behind you. The front of the car is still a blind spot, and it is the end that meets curbs, steep driveways, and concrete parking stops first. A camera on the front of your car closes that gap. It is especially useful for vehicles with front spoilers, lips, or lowered suspension, where a few inches of misjudgment gets expensive.
Unlike stick-on gadgets with separate monitors, a Beat-Sonic front view camera integrates with the screen your car already has. The factory display, backup camera, and steering wheel controls all keep working exactly as before.
How a front camera interface works
A front camera system has two parts: the camera itself and an interface module that feeds the video into your factory screen.
The interface plugs into the factory display harness behind the dash. An OE-design selector switch with a white LED mounts in a vacant switch blank, so the finished install looks like it came from the factory. Press the switch and the front camera view appears on your screen. On the CS15 for select 2022+ Toyota models, a built-in programmable timer shows the camera for 5, 10, 15, or 20 seconds, or you can disable the timer for push-on, push-off operation. The CS15 can also display the front camera automatically at speeds under 9 mph, which is exactly when you need it for front parking.
Shift into reverse at any time and the factory backup camera takes priority, just as it should.
Front camera lineup
Every interface below is model-specific, and every camera is a wired unit with an RCA video output that works with any compatible interface. Interfaces and cameras are sold separately, so pick one of each.
- CS15 (from $229): Front camera interface; select 2022+ Toyota factory screens
- CS11A (from $220): Front camera interface; select 2014-2025 Lexus factory screens
- CS10B (from $220): Front camera interface; select 2018-2024 Toyota models
- CS6EP (from $175): Front camera interface; select 2014-2020 Toyota factory screens
- BCAM11B (from $175): Universal camera, black; front grille mount, 160-degree fisheye lens
- BCAM13 (from $175): Universal camera, black; grille mount, screws or no-drill tape bracket, 160-degree fisheye lens
- BCAM10AW (from $149): Universal camera, white; license plate mount, 180-degree fisheye lens
- CS6SW (from $19): OEM-look switch; cS series front camera adapters
The BCAM11B mounts to the front grille in a stealth black finish, carries an IP67 waterproof rating, and uses an automatic electronic iris for clear day and night visibility. The white BCAM10AW mounts at the front license plate location instead. Both are made in Japan. The BCAM13 is the newest black camera in the lineup. It shares the 160-degree fisheye view and IP67 waterproof rating of the BCAM11B, but adds a no-drill mounting option with the included double-sided tape and adjustable angle bracket, plus smaller inline connectors that make cable routing easier.
Front camera vs. front dash camera
Searching for a front dash cam? Here is the difference, plainly. A dash cam records video for evidence and playback. A Beat-Sonic front camera is a live parking and visibility camera: it shows what is in front of your bumper on the factory screen in real time, but it does not record footage. If your goal is recording, a dedicated 2-channel dash cam is the better tool, and we currently do not sell dash cams. If your goal is protecting your front end while parking and creeping through tight spaces, a front parking camera on the factory screen is the cleaner solution.
Vehicle compatibility
Each interface covers a specific range of vehicles and factory screen sizes. The CS15 fits select 2022+ Toyota models including Tundra, Tacoma, 4Runner, Camry, Corolla, Crown, Grand Highlander, Highlander, Land Cruiser, Prius, RAV4, Sequoia, and Sienna, with screen-size requirements listed on the product page. The CS11A covers select 2014-2025 Lexus models, while the CS10B and CS6EP cover select 2018-2024 and 2014-2020 Toyota vehicles respectively.
Coverage depends on your exact year, model, and screen, so check the compatibility list on each product page. Not sure? Email info@beatsonicusa.com with your year, model, trim, and screen size before you buy.
Plug-and-play installation
Beat-Sonic front camera interfaces connect to the factory harness with plug-and-play connectors. No wire cutting, no soldering, no special tools required, and the install is fully reversible. The cameras include extra-long RCA cable harnesses so you can route from the bumper to the dash without splicing. Step-by-step guides for your vehicle are on our manuals page, and install videos are on the Beat-Sonic USA YouTube channel. Plan on a couple of hours for a full interface and camera install, depending on the vehicle.
Pair with more Beat-Sonic upgrades
While the dash is apart, it is a good time to stack upgrades:
- Backup cameras for rear visibility, plus OEM camera retention adapters.
- Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interfaces to bring wireless smartphone connectivity to the same factory screen.
