A backup camera should feel like it came with the car. Beat-Sonic USA backup cameras and camera adapters integrate with your factory screen or aftermarket head unit using plug-and-play connections, so you get clear rear visibility without cut wires or a suction-cup monitor stuck to the glass. Serving the car community since 2007, our lineup covers Toyota, Lexus, Scion, Subaru, Honda, and even the Porsche 911.

Why Choose a Beat-Sonic USA Backup Camera?

Most aftermarket camera kits are built around a generic camera and a generic monitor. Beat-Sonic USA takes the opposite approach: work with the screen you already have. That means a car backup camera setup that looks factory, keeps every original function working, and comes out cleanly if you ever want to return the vehicle to stock.

Take the PCAM2 for the Porsche 911 991.1 with PCM 3.1, a Beat-Sonic USA product designed and engineered in the US. It replaces the factory rear license plate light, so there is no drilling into the bumper and no universal camera look. Waterproof construction and an automatic electronic iris keep the image usable day and night.

How OEM Backup camera Integration Works

There are two common situations, and Beat-Sonic USA makes an adapter for each.

Adding a camera to your factory screen

Interfaces like the BCUS3EP feed an aftermarket rear view backup camera into select 2012-2015 Toyota, Scion, and Subaru OEM screens. Pair it with a universal camera such as the license-plate-mounted BCAM7AW and your factory display shows the rear view when you shift into reverse.

Keeping your factory camera with a new stereo

If you are installing an aftermarket head unit, adapters like the BC1 (Toyota 4-pin) and BC9 (Honda 5-pin) connect the factory backup camera straight to the new stereo. The BC1 plugs into the factory 4-pin camera connector with no cutting or splicing, works with all major aftermarket stereo brands, and switches to the camera view automatically in reverse. The BC5 harness adds a camera input to Toyota and Lexus OEM navigation for just $23.

How to Install a Backup Camera

Backup camera installation comes down to three steps: mount the camera at the rear of the vehicle, route the video cable to the dash, and connect power plus a reverse trigger so the screen switches automatically.

Beat-Sonic USA shortens that job wherever possible. Adapters like the BC1, BC9, and BC5 use factory connectors, so the wiring portion is plug-and-play with no cutting and no soldering. Harness-only installs are quick; a full camera kit with cable routing is a longer afternoon project, depending on the vehicle. Every product has a step-by-step guide on our manuals page, and install videos are on the Beat-Sonic USA YouTube channel. Prefer to hand it off? Professional installation is available at our La Mirada, CA facility and through our nationwide authorized installer network.

Vehicle Compatibility

Coverage is model-specific, so match the adapter to your vehicle and connector. The BC1 fits Toyota vehicles with the factory 4-pin camera connector, the BC9 fits Honda models with the 5-pin connector, the BCUS3EP covers select 2012-2015 Toyota, Scion, and Subaru OEM screens, and the PCAM2 fits the Porsche 911 991.1 with PCM 3.1 and requires an interface such as the PGVIF to display the image. Universal cameras like the BCAM7AW work with any system that accepts an RCA video input. Not sure which connector your car has?
