LGVIF-CB8W Configuration Guide
2010–2013 Lexus GX 460
Before you begin: Follow each step in order. These settings configure the CB8W module for the best possible audio quality during music playback via USB and phone calls on the 2010–2013 Lexus GX 460.
1
Open the Settings menu
From the home screen, navigate to the 3-icon screen and press Settings.
2
Disable "Use Car's BT Channel"
Tap System, then verify that Use Car's BT Channel is turned off.
a
If it is currently on, tap it to disable it.

b
A confirmation screen will appear. Tap OK to reset and apply the change.

3
Configure audio gain settings
After the unit resets, return to the 3-icon screen, tap System, then select Audio.

a
Verify that Microphone OP Gain is set to 3 and PGA Gain is set to 0.

b
Tap Call Echo Cancellation. Any value between 0 and 3 is acceptable.

4
Set EQ to "Classic"
Under Audio, select EQ. Use the arrows to select Classic.

5
Set volume levels
Under Audio, select Volume and apply the following recommended levels:
| Channel | Value |
|---|---|
| Media | 24 |
| Phone | 40 |
| Ringtone | 28 |
| Voice | 40 |
| Other | 32 |

Note: These settings resolve the majority of audio quality issues during phone calls and music streaming via USB. You may still experience a brief audio delay during the initial pickup of an incoming call — this is normal behavior for this vehicle/module combination.
