Having kids who had just gotten their licenses driving our 2017 Toyota Camry made us want to find a solution for them to have mapping that was easy to see. This kit was exactly what we were looking for and works seamlessly with both our iPhones and Android phones. Our initial kit did have a faulty microphone cable. Though it involved the hassle of having to take everything apart a second time, customer service responded and shipped the replacement kit at lightning speed. They were also very apologetic. I would have no qualms about ordering from Beat-Sonic again. I was very impressed with this kit and with their customer service! (Posted on 7/28/2023)

This is the stereo upgrade I have wanted from Day 1. It does everything I want perfectly! I am still new to it so lots of things I haven't tried. I was hesitant on doing the install by myself but after watch several of their videos I managed the courage to move forward. The whole install from start to finish was probably 20 minutes! The hardest part is putting the radio back in. Excellent product and I can't thank Beat-Sonic enough for this. (Posted on 12/16/2022)

The installation process was easy and works exactly as expected and advertised. Customer Service is very responsive and helped resolved a couple of minor issues within a few hours of me contacting them.

Other alternative are either very expensive or do not provide a clean look when installed. I would recommend to anyone to add this to their vehicles. (Posted on 8/24/2022)

Let me start by saying Eric is the most professional customer service technician that I have ever encountered. If you buy a unit from him and have any problems or concerns, he will not leave you hanging! If you message his support email, he will almost immediately respond.
He is courteous and genuinely wants to ensure that any kinks get worked out that you may have upon install.

Now, with that said let's talk about the product. I have a beautiful 2015 Sienna Limited Premium. The highest trim package and every bell and whistle available for its time. The navigation got horrible over time because the native maps don't update. CarPlay support didn't become available for the Sienna until 2019. We wanted CarPlay for several reasons.

We wanted CarPlay but we did not want to compromise the originality of our vehicle with some third party head unit. We wanted to keep the same stock JBL head unit but add legitimate CarPlay to it.

That is exactly what this kit did. It kept everything stock, but we have CarPlay that works like a champ. We use Waze for navigation and listen to Apple Music and Podcasts while driving. We have received many compliments and bewildered friends that our 2015 stereo is equipped with CarPlay. Android Auto will also work with this kit.

This was easy to install. Eric has some great tutorials online that make it truly dummy-proof.

I will use Beat-Sonic every time with future vehicles. (Posted on 3/15/2022)

Installed on my 2015 Toyota Rav4.
Did the install by myself, just followed the installment process from youtube. Works as what it says. Its a good option for those who wants Apple Carplay/Android Auto without changing their stock infotainment.

This unit was a snap to install. It took me about 35 minutes to install. I reviewed the videos several times and read the directions in detail. I was most concerned that there wouldn’t be enough room for all the components and wires, but they seemed to fit nicely behind the head unit. It took a little time for the CarPlay to fully connect/function (every time), but only about a day. I have had it installed for about two weeks and it is working flawlessly and has great response. The clarity of the unit is perfect, I see no issues. I would like to see more contrast of the maps, and I am playing with the settings of the back-up camera to get the best adjustment for my driving. As recommended Waze seems to look the best and it works fine.

I am extremely pleased with the unit and love having CarPlay back in my 2017 Toyota 4Runner. It’s money well spent!!!!

I asked a ton of questions to Customer Service (Eric) for months prior to the purchase of the CarPlay system, and he was very quick to respond with comprehensive answers and extra help, even on the weekends!

Easy install, took maybe an hour and it was very straightforward as it comes with directions and YouTube videos. The picture is a little grainy compared to an after market screen but you get used to it. I love having Apple Car play in my 4runner now! (Posted on 3/29/2021)

Got this after a long wait, and it was definitely worth. Taking the console apart was easy, putting everything together and installing it was easy, but putting everything back was a bit difficult. Would recommend having a second pair of hands to help. But once it was all in, everything worked great. I don't think the display quality is an issue all; would just say it's more SD than HD, but everything (maps, audio, messages) is clear. Well worth it! (Posted on 1/13/2021)

This is a great alternative for your car compared to just buying a new expensive stereo. However, take note that your video quality is not the sharpest but performs just fine. Also, my system has a small noise but is pretty much unnoticeable unless you have your volume turned all the way up without music. Besides those, it's a good buy and would definitely recommend. Installed in my 2017 Corolla.
Prompt feedback about my questions/concerns. Yes, the display isn’t razor sharp, but I’m perfectly happy with it. Weirdly, it seems to appear sharper after a few days. I guess you just adjust to it. Again, I like the display just fine. It all works together great. My favorite navigation app is Google Maps in dark mode, with Waze a close second. Also, I actually like the need to connect with USB, as I dislike the sound quality of iTunes over Bluetooth. (Posted on 7/18/2020)

I like it, it works flawlessly and easy install for sure! I would highly recommend this kit for any one that is stuck with the stinkin Entune crap. The only thing you HAVE to understand before purchase is that its basically highjacking your rear view camera line when its not in use, so the video is analog, also, it comes with 2 black boxes, plan where to tuck those when you are installing cause its a tight fit for sure, but other than those it works great and it brings life back to my car infotainment. So this is a great alternative to stereo upgrade. The only thing that bugs me is not being able to fine tune the voice audio when listening to music. For example listening to music while navigating can be hard on the ears or hard to hear. Wish there was way to fine tune independently from regular audio. The option they have now is a work around but not great. Overall good to buy. (Posted on 2/28/2020)
