The problem it solves

When installing aftermarket dash or tweeter speakers into a Toyota, the factory amplifier output level is often optimized for the impedance of the original OEM speakers. Frequently asked questions

Will this damage my amplifier or speakers?
No. Adding resistance inline with a tweeter is a well-established technique for reducing output level. It does not damage the amplifier or the speaker. The resistor must be mounted to a metal or other non-flammable surface - not enclosed in foam or tape - and kept clear of wire insulation and trim materials.

Will this affect bass or midrange frequencies?
No. The NS-HS01 is wired inline with the tweeter or dash speaker only and has no effect on your woofers or midrange drivers.

Do I need one or two?
The NS-HS01 comes as a pair, so you receive one resistor for each side. No need to purchase separately.

Is installation reversible?
Yes. The plug-and-play connectors allow you to remove the resistors at any time and return to your previous configuration with no trace left behind.
