Does this work wirelessly?
Yes. Both wireless and wired CarPlay and Android Auto are supported.
Does my GX 460 need factory navigation for this to work?
Yes. This kit requires factory navigation. It is not compatible with 2010–2013 GX 460 trims that came without factory navigation.
Will this work with my 360 surround camera or front and side cameras?
No. This kit is not compatible with trims equipped with a 360 surround camera, front camera, or side cameras. If your GX 460 has these cameras, the camera system will not function with this kit installed. Please email info@beatsonicusa.com before purchasing if you are unsure about your trim.
Does the touchscreen support swipe gestures?
Swipe motion is not supported on the 2010–2013 GX 460 as the factory hardware does not support it. You can still navigate CarPlay fully using the factory touchscreen tap controls.
Will my phone charge while using CarPlay?
Yes. Your phone charges through the USB dongle while in CarPlay or Android Auto mode.
What's the audio quality like?
Audio quality is the same as factory.
Can I listen to factory radio or SAT radio while in CarPlay mode?
No. Factory radio and SAT radio are not available while in CarPlay or Android Auto mode on this model. We recommend downloading a radio or SiriusXM app on your phone to use through CarPlay instead.
Will I lose my factory USB ports?
Note that the 3.5mm AUX jack and USB port will be occupied by this kit. Factory USB ports will continue to work with the factory infotainment system.
Will this receive regular CarPlay updates?
Yes. CarPlay updates are handled through your iPhone, so the latest features reflect automatically when you use it.
Does this support other languages?
Yes. The language displayed is controlled by your phone's settings.
