Toyota video in motion kits unlock the screen functions your factory system disables once the vehicle starts moving. DVD playback, navigation input, and screen mirroring become available for your passengers, while the backup camera, steering wheel controls, and every other factory feature keep working as designed. Beat-Sonic kits connect at the factory harness with plug-and-play connectors. No wire cutting, no soldering, and every install is fully reversible. Designed and engineered in Japan, serving the US car community since 2007.

Keep the factory screen, lose the restrictions

Your Toyota nav system was built to gray out video and touch functions above a few miles per hour. That protects the driver, but it also blanks the screen for the front passenger and shuts down road trip entertainment. A bypass kit removes the in-motion restriction without touching the rest of the system. There is no head unit swap, no lost features, and no permanent change to the vehicle.

How these kits work

The factory head unit reads vehicle speed and parking brake signals to decide when to lock the screen. A bypass module like the NDS6223EP or STN7028 connects inline behind the head unit and manages those signals so DVD playback and navigation input stay available. On both modules, the DVD and video bypass can be programmed to stay engaged full time, so the unlock works automatically every drive. If you want your phone on the factory screen as well, the HVXT06 mirroring interface displays your smartphone on the 12.3-inch display in the Toyota Highlander and Venza.

Toyota video in motion lineup

  • NDS6223EP (from $199): 2013-2021 Lexus and Toyota models, including the 2016-2021 Land Cruiser; navigation and DVD in-motion bypass
  • STN7028 (from $239): Select 2018-2025 Lexus and Toyota models; navigation and DVD unlock for newer factory systems
  • HVXT06 (from $649): Toyota Highlander and Venza with 12.3-inch screens; hDMI smartphone mirroring interface

Start with the NDS6223EP for 2013-2021 vehicles or the STN7028 for newer models. Add the HVXT06 if you also want to mirror your phone on the factory screen.

Plug-and-play installation

Every kit here connects at the factory harness with plug-and-play connectors. No splicing, no special tools required, and the install can be reversed at any time, which keeps leased vehicles safe. Install time depends on the vehicle and dash layout, from under an hour for a bypass module to a couple of hours for a full mirroring interface. Vehicle-specific instructions live on our manuals page, and the Beat-Sonic USA YouTube channel walks through installs step by step.

One note on responsible use: these kits are for passenger entertainment and parked use. Most states restrict video displays visible to the driver while moving. Know your local laws, and keep your attention on the road.
