Does this work wirelessly?
Yes. Both wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported.
Will the display be HD quality?
No. The TAV-CB2W outputs to your factory Toyota screen, which reads analog signal only. Image quality is limited to your factory screen's native resolution. This is not a defect - it applies to all factory-screen-preserving interfaces.
Will I lose my factory USB port?
Only if you purchase the optional USB harness add-on. Without it, the factory USB port continues to function normally for MP3 playback and factory radio firmware updates. With the USB harness, the factory USB function is replaced by CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Is this compatible with the 360 camera equipped Highlander?
No. The TAV-CB2W is not compatible with Toyota Highlander models equipped with 360 camera or bird's eye view systems. CarPlay and Android Auto will not function on these models even if the kit is installed. Please do not purchase for a 360-camera equipped Highlander.
Will my steering wheel controls work in CarPlay mode?
Yes. Volume, seek, and phone call buttons on the steering wheel continue to function normally in CarPlay and Android Auto mode.
