Beat-Sonic ENX-T317 DSP Amplifier Kit for 2020-2025 Toyota Tundra without JBL, 6 or 9 speakers

I wanted a simple amp that'll make my tundra sound clearer. I asked the folks here and they recommended the Encore Alpha (silver) for simplicity and budget. It did do exactly what they said which is to make everything sound clearer and louder. Unfortunately the bass was louder and too boomy and rattle the doors all the time (not the good clean loud bass). Example male voice in radio or podcast is unbearable boomy and muddy. I also added a small powered sub (BLAUPUNKT 10") and turn down the bass but not much better.

Switch for the Encore X (black), and this thing was exactly what I want. Clearer full range (vocals and mid-bass) while cutting out the useless low frequencies from door speakers that should be diverted to dedicated powered sub. No more door rattles. Mid-bass is cleaner from door speakers. The power sub is small but it does the job to fill in those clean punchy bass. This overall sounds so much cleaner. The factory speakers sounds fine with this amp. I'll probably switch with some Kicker KS once these factory speakers is worn out.

Initially the front passenger door speakers sounded louder. I just had to move the listening position to the center of the truck and it's better. Also moving the sound stage to the front will reduce bass to sub output. Stick with center position.

This is a really nice compact amp. Though the amp doesn't fit under the dash as well as the video shows, the long wiring tucks up real nice. Because Toyota's output to the rear channels lacks volume, depth and bass, it would be nice if the amp compensated for that so you can have a nice balance front to rear. I noticed after install the amp prevents rear fading. It just lowers the front channels volume. This needs to be corrected!

Great little DSP & amp combo that takes little space and easy to install. I was able to run the cable snake from behind my radio to the glove box and leave the unit in my glovebox to easily connect to and configure. I had aftermarket speakers, so the preconfigured settings did not sound good to me. I made my own changes to the EQ and time alignment. So far, so good!
