Volume level indicator change will not show in Apple Carplay / Android Auto mode.
This kit is only compatible with vehicles listed under "Compatibility". Vehicles not listed including but not limited to Landcruiser and GX models are not compatible.
Vehicles with the "Scout" Navigation Application does not have factory navigation.

I bought this for a 2018 Lexus ES300h, I did not buy the optional USB kit listed for $15 and was fine without it. Everything works well for both Apple Care play and Android Auto. If you don't want to install this yourself or prefer professional installation in Texas, Alamo Auto Sound & Security in San Antonio did a great job installing mine. I recommend them. I installed this in my 2014 GS350. Overall this was a great purchase! Installation was pretty simple following the YouTube video on Beatsonic's YouTube page. Eric was super responsive via email answering all of my questions. He even sent me firmware updates to fix a couple issues and make an improvement so that Google Maps would go to dark mode when I turned on my headlights. I have not had any issues after the last firmware update and the unit has worked perfectly. I would recommend BeatSonic for anyone looking to add Carplay or Android Auto to their Lexus. took me 3 hours to install. Not a professional myself. It's a DIY project for me and it went well. Followed instructions and watch the YouTube videos while installing. The most difficult part was figuring out where to route the cables and where to mount the boxes. Other than that, smooth sailing. Only thing I wish for is for Android auto to be able to display at native resolution of the screen in my GS F, i.e. 1280x480. Talked to Eric and he said its not possible as of now. So now the screen in AA is stretched side way. Apple Carplay however is able to display at 1280x480. So I think it should be able to display at the same resolution in AA as well. I've waited months of using before posting an honest review. I had a few concerns and Eric addressed them promptly. I even had a slight issue with static and Eric had sent out a new carplay box immediately which fixed the issue. Customer service is top notch. Yes sometimes the Bluetooth doesn't route correctly, but I have my phone accessible and it's a quick fix in real time. I have a 2013 Lexus GS 350 F sport. Steering wheel controls work great, back up camera functions perfectly. People who complain about a whining noise, I can confirm this can only be heard at excessive volumes when music is not playing. But honestly unless you want to be deaf you won't notice it. A quick way to see volume is to just switch out of carplay mode and use volume function and go right back in. Sometimes I like to see the number so it's easy to do. All in all, I have 0 regrets about this purchase. I recommend that you keep the carplay box where he suggests under the passenger side glovebox. Also I used Velcro to Mount it, this allows easy removal when needed. Seek function on steering wheel is flawless. No more asking Bluetooth to call someone and it trying to find nearest gas station. No more waiting for cover art to load in order to change a track. I paid 500, but I'd gladly pay the cost increase. This is really a game changer, I get to keep My older Lexus and still have car play. I have previous experience with car audio installation, but if you watch the youtube video enough times and take your time it's a pretty easy install. It's all plug and play and mine even came Preset for the GS. I'm assuming that's being done for all models. (Posted on 11/19/2021)

With latest device firmware update and latest IOS 14.4, Carplay runs with full functionality on the 2021 LX570 with native 1280x480 resolution (no stretch) / full integration with factory controls/microphone, and without any loss of other factory infotainment functions such as backup/parking assist cameras. This device is a mature product with no obvious glitches/bugs. For those doing own install, Eric’s communication and tech support are INVALUABLE. Would rate > 5 stars if possible!! Did a self install and everything works great - pretty incredible seeing how this works on the screen. Only issue is I also ordered the factory USB harness to be able to reuse the stock USB cable that’s in the center console. I went by the drawing in BeatSonic’s instructions and don’t think I have the correct connector to wire it properly since it won’t fit - at this point, everything’s installed and put back together and I don’t really want to take out the radio again to re seat anything.

Been running this apple CarPlay in my 16’ Lexus IS for almost 2 weeks now and I absolutely love it. I did the install myself and did not run into any serious issues. Eric’s video instructions are extremely detailed and I just kept playing those videos in order to help me with the install. I'm not a type of complaining guy, but I think would have been more appropriate to let me know before ordering that the incoming calls are not working (outgoing- barely can hear the party). For now, you guys said.... Ok, but waiting for Apple to make it work, if they do, is not the right solution. Loosing that option, which it is very important to a driver, it is a big negative impact on the system.
One more thing. The harness will need a noise filter somewhere since the white noise is present at higher levels of audio volume. Other than that, works fine.
- Please refer to troubleshooting under Phone Calls. The white noise is only present at high levels of audio volume when no music is being played (your factory audio system will do the same). (Posted on 12/24/2020)
