I changed my head unit to a Pioneer AVIC by using the BH1.
Did I really need the BH1? nah...
Do I like the product? yes...
Would I use the BH1 again if I had to? yes...
You don't need the BH1 wiring harness, if you want to solder and electric tape each wires. (You would need the side panels for double DIN as the opening is 4" x 8" whereas the double DIN is 4" x 7")
I used the BH1 to avoid that.
I just had to buy matching 16-14 gauge bullet connectors ($4) from Amazon and attach them on wires (ACC, speaker L/R wires, Ill, etc) from the Pioneer head unit and connect them to the BH1 as labeled.
That's it. That simple.
